Q.A.Q.
What are Cambium saddles?
Cambium saddles are made of vulcanized natural rubber to be flexible while riding, reduce shock and vibration, and provide the rider with a better riding experience compared to traditional foam or gel saddles. This construction of Cambium saddles mimics the construction of leather saddles and therefore provides a similar "hammock" comfort. Cambium is also maintenance-free, which means you don't have to adjust the saddle tension. Likewise, the material we use is not affected by rain. For riders who want to reduce pressure on the perineal area or want a more flexible saddle, Cambium saddles are also available in a version with a cutout.
How do I care for and maintain my Cambium?
With the Cambium range, we recommend that you check your rivets to see if they are still tight. Over time, the rivets may loosen due to the vibrations generated by riding, but this is rare. Remember that these saddles are hand assembled at the factory, which means that all maintenance can be done by hand.
What can I do if my saddle makes a creaking noise?
A creaking noise on your saddle probably means that the stays on the nose of the saddle are rubbing somewhere on the rubber surface. This can be fixed with a small dab of grease. There may also be a noise where the rails meet the back plate through the small black rubber plug. In this case, the saddle could be disassembled and a small amount of grease applied to the contact points.
